New Year’s Resolution is Me!
It is 2009 and another new year! I am resolved to focus on improving myself and becoming a better person. So, how do you do that? Well, here is what I will do.
Well, for instance, I am always try to please everyone else and in the process, neglect my own needs! So, no more of that. I will focus on myself this year: staying healthy and fit, finishing school, creating more writing from the heart, and appreciating the good people in my life, the ones that are REAL and see me for who I am, not as some obstacle to be avoided. The ones who love me even when they don’t like me.
I will not neglect my own needs, but also help those in need. I will only help those in need that are willing, including children and adults who have no one else. I will educate, conquer, and explore the world.
I will surround myself with positive people. There are so many good people that are positive, healthy, and happy. Those are the people that bring joy in my life and I thrive when I am surrounded by those people. I will appreciate what and who I have and not always look for the greener pasture that may not exist. I will love those who love me and I will thrive to be a thoughtful, respectful, and fun individual! I will love my friends and family better.
Life is too short to take yourself serious. Life is not long enough to wallow in the past. I will not take things personal that are not my issues to deal with.
I will eat healthy and stay fit. I will wear sunscreen and get plenty of rest each night. I will practice meditation and yoga to stay in touch with my spiritual side. I will love God EVERY DAY!! I will ALWAYS look on the bright side.
I will not lose sight of the amazement and beauty in the world. I will take time to see the world as a child’s eyes see it-simple wonder. I will keep improving myself physically, emotionally, spiritually, and mentally. I will write with more passion and share my writings with all that desire to be part of that world of mine.
I will be a great teacher and work hard when I student teach this Fall and I will pass on any knowledge I obtain to all my students and fellow teachers. I will also pass on my knowledge and teaching experience to the world on my Teaching Life Blog.
I will do much more volunteering, starting with Habitat for Humanity this week. I will treasure the goodness in people and pass that on to others and help those in need. I will pay it forward.
Oh, yes, 2009 is going to be fantastic! And I will dance like no one is watching and live as James Dean said: Dream as if I’ll live forever. Live as if I’ll die today.
That is more resolve than most folk . success2u buZZirk
